The Power Centre Team recently invited exhibitors from the gas, electric, renewable energy and plumbing industries to an event in Croydon, U.K, to provide information on its activities. The hosting organization is a joint venture between Kingston and Carshalton Colleges intended to provide individuals with training and courses in a number of field service industries, according to a report in ThisIs Croydon Today.
The event also debuted the launch of the Power Centre's National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies Lead Hub. The academy allows Power Centre to continue to deliver training and solutions necessary for individuals to be successful in green technology areas, including solar power, rainwater harvesting and thermal heating, the news source said.
The exhibition also included a series of free seminars aimed at teaching individuals about adapting to emerging trends, as well as the skills and solutions necessary to be successful in the future, the news provider noted.
One trend that will continue to be seen in field service industries is the proliferation of the mobile workforce. In fact, a study from Gist found that nearly one-third of today's employees around the world rely on more than one mobile device during the typical workday.
