Fahrenheit 451

Fahrenheit 451 is a Fire and Security Company founded in 2004. The company services fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers as well as providing repair and maintenance work on security cameras and card access systems in Southern Alberta, Canada.

From the outset, Fahrenheit 451 used several different accounting programs, but continued to handle their field service management (work orders, invoices, etc.) using paper forms and manual processes. This became especially problematic with the paper work orders.

“Due to the volume of work orders, many of our paper work orders were lost, destroyed or fell through the cracks,” says Randy Brown, Owner of Fahrenheit 451. “This was creating inefficiencies and lost revenue.“

The company finally decided to look into a field service management software solution to address the mounting lost revenue resulting from using a paper-based system. After doing significant research, the company decided on FieldAware’s cloud-based software solution.

“We looked at quite a few options. The reason we went with FieldAware is because of the obvious efficiencies we could gain and also because it is cloud based.”

Since putting FieldAware into action, the company has noticed many positive changes. Says Randy, “FieldAware has helped us increase revenue because it prevents us from losing work orders. We are able to see what jobs are going on and make sure everything is getting billed right when it’s finished.”

Another feature that is making a big difference for Fahrenheit 451 is the ability to upload pictures and video to each work order, making it easier for the next technician to know what they will be working on (and where it is) when they arrive at the customer site.

These positive changes have helped the company increase its bottom line and maintain consistent, accurate billing.
